Roma for the weekend

By

We had a few days over Thanksgiving, so we hopped on a plane and went to Rome! we filled our time well, and walked about 10-12 miles each day. We had beautiful sunshine for our first day, with rain showers and gray skies for the rest of the time. Due to the rain we had to leave Craig behind for most of our walks, but took him for the Vatican City day! #craigthecamera

Our highlights were: The Sistine Chapel, Spanish Steps, Pantheon at night, our final meal right in front of the Pantheon, and getting up early to miss the crowds. We also watched The Scarlet and the Black and Roman Holiday before we went, and a couple documentaries on Roman history. Enjoy the photo dump!

The Spanish steps – my favorite stop.

Café always for me, and cappuccino for him.
We arrived, tired travelers ready to be more tired and be tourists.
our little hotel room was by St. Angelo’s and perfect access to the rest of the city!
Pantheon
Of course the food was my favorite part. Gluten free bakeries, gelato, pizza and pasta were wonderful in Rome!
