We were sitting in our TLF room, looking for houses to rent and watching car maintenance videos. The housing situation is slow but ongoing, and the videos are due to our recent purchase – a sea blue 2007 BMW with a finicky personality we have dubbed Dink.
After watching another gripping tale of strut and blinking filter lights, Mark looked up and said, “want to drive into Oxford tonight?”
The sentence hung for a bit in the air, as I was holding my breath, trying to grasp that this was even a possibility. Oxford – that lovely city of spires and colleges that boast the attendance of Wycliffe, Tyndale, Wesley, Auden, Tolkien, and Lewis?
Just a twenty three minute drive away.
“YES PLEASE,” I said a bit louder than I meant to.
So we hopped into Dink and drove south on the M40.

It was such a fun couple of hours just wandering streets and pausing to admire the setting of different spires against the sky. Pretty sure my mouth was hanging on a hinge, but I didn’t care. We were in Oxford!
I apologize for the lack of photos, we are getting better about taking Craig ( our camera) with us everywhere, but these were the few good photos we captured. Here are just some others of our week to share with you,:

We love y’all and are so grateful for the Lord’s continued provision as we navigate this lovely country we get to call home for a bit.
