Mark had a four day weekend, so we took the 4th and drove down to the coast!
As we drove into Dover, a heavy fog encased the farmland as it slipped down to the sea. It was easy to imagine the air battles happening right here during the Battle of Britain. This peaceful farmland holds scars of war, the cliffs have old rusted artillery mounts, and there are shipwrecks along the beach.
We hiked down to a spot, and we could see France in the distance. Then we thought of being at Dunkirk on that beach – the British soldiers able to see home but not have the means to get there.
We walked along the harbor where most certainly some of the fishing boats quickly dispatched to pick up trapped soldiers on the other side of the channel. History is alive here.

We are doing well, this week we move into our new home (Lord willing)!!
Mark has been hard at work fixing our cars so we don’t need to worry about them! The roads are very rough and narrow here, so driving has been an adventure for sure.
We are looking forward to the next step of change into normal rhythms as he heads back to work and I set up our home. We are incredibly grateful for the Lord’s provision and all your prayers as we continue seeing His hand of blessing in England.
