The last few months in photos

By

After a wonderful 6 weeks at home for me, and a much more melancholy 6 weeks of a work trip in the states for Mark – we are back into the normal rhythms of life in England again.

Our favorite way to spend a late summer evening.
A friendship bird, touches of fall, and my thriving IKEA plant.
Our dear little wood burner.
Notes by the millions to their beloved monarch.
We visited Salisbury Cathedral and walked into a lovely tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
The dahlias in their full glory are something to behold!
To St. Leonards church – the oldest building on the estate.
Morning light by the pigeon house.
Paul is the farmer, and we often walk out when he is bedding the chickens down for a evening chat. He is blind in one eye and has the thickest hands I have ever seen apart from my own orchardist Grandpa.
He took me fishing! I am pretty awful, but watching him and enjoying the boat on the lake is my favorite anyway.
Squash and pumpkin overflowing!
A delight of late summer was the abundant harvest of apples! Thanks to my aunt-in-law I learned that I can take whatever fruit and veg that I desire from the garden!! Amazing and so fun.
I love this picture. Letting go of dead and burdening things starts with being attentive to the Spirit, learning to listen to God, and being willing to have open hands to Him.

“Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.” -Francis R. Havergal

I cannot say how FRH’s life and love for God has challenged me and encouraged my walk this year. A friend of Fanny Crosby, Ira Sankey, and Charles Spurgeon (by letters only, as she was sick much of her young life), learning of her was a privilege and joy!

Collin mows the vast lawns and gardens every morning at 8:15.
The loving and gracious hand of God is here if we but stop and look
Realizing how many photos do not have people in them! I will get better at that! 🙂
