2022 roundup so far

By

Hello friends and family! It has been a minute, and I have found myself (not surprisingly) busy here in the British Isles. Lots of work, play, community, and exploring has been had since my last post on here.

We are nearing our first anniversary both for our marriage and being here in England! How time absolutely doesn’t stop still amazes me and catches me off guard. I thought I would do a little photo dump of some of our life here.

Mark has been teaching/facilitating the mens Bible study on base, and is the lead on worship most Sundays – with me supporting in vocals when I can! It is such a joy to serve alongside him and cheer each other along in our individual walks with God. I am a part of the womens Bible study on base, and another one online – what a joy to be filled up with the Word and learn from each other here.

Mark and I have been trying to train for a half marathon (and we did so well for a couple months), but it never seems to stop raining, snowing, or hailing longer than a couple days – so it’s been mostly treadmill. But it is so fun to chase fitness goals together!

Some sweet visitors got to come see us! ❤
My Mum came for a short visit too – it was such a gift to see her!
Cousin Kevin was in London for a day – so we made the most of it and walked 13 miles being total tourists.
Mark on our little lake, catching a pike. So glad he can do this on the private lake, as most fishing here is difficult to come by without loads of proper paperwork.
Our little friends on the farm are growing fast. A new generations has just been born, but these ones hold a special place. 😉
Wisteria, in all it’s glory
We visited Edinburgh, and St. Andrews too! Can’t believe all of this is so close to us.
Our home. I love it so dearly.
Went on many little walks and hikes on the public footpaths – and it’s lambing season with all these cute and curious darlings about.
Day trip to Dorset was so fun, to see the ocean and feel the sunshine was amazing! Definitely will be back at some point, as it’s only 2 hours away.
This is normally how we spend our evenings – enjoying the gardens with a hot cup of coffee.
Our community here is so dear to us already. We have met some extraordinary people, and praise God for these friendships that will last a lifetime. This was an evening in Oxford celebrating a friend ranking up to Major! Mark also will be major in June – so a party will be planned soon! 🙂

There is so much more I could say and thousands of photos to share – but there is a tiny glimpse of our life here – a season to cherish and enjoy, and we are GRATEFUL. Love you all!
